I'm still that way. Only now I share my views far beyond the dorm walls. I try almost every toxic-free new product I see. I slather it, drink it, rub it in my hair, devour it--whatever the appropriate verb, I do it! When I find the BEST slather-able, drinkable, rub-able, whatever-able new thing, I share it here. Sometimes "The Best" are people or organizations I think are worth knowing about...usually they involve inspiring mothers, helping us all create a healthier place for our kids to live! |
Aquasana
Since people always ask which water filter I use for my own home, I thought I should make it public, and award Aquasana with a Quest for The Best designation! (If I didn't consider it the best, I wouldn't be using it for my family!)

2 Angry Moms![]() Thank goodness for Two Angry Moms, an organization and movie dedicated to improving school lunches! (About 1/3 of our kids’ daily calories happen at school, so what they are doing is very important.) |
Allergy Kids![]() AllergyKids, under the inspiring direction of founder Robyn O’Brien (mother of four), created a universal food allergy symbol. |
national foundation for celiac awareness![]() Suspect a gluten problem? Head to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness . They have a fabulously informative website…and they host Cooking Sprees. The Sprees are what earned the NFCA a Quest for The Best honoree status. |
petit appetit![]() Lisa Barnes, creative chef-mom behind Petit Appetit knows that kids from “zero” to four-years-old get their highest chemical exposures from food (it’s a body size-ratio thing). That’s part of the reason she helps new moms make healthy, yummy, non-toxic delights. |
